1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Mnemo (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, and "you" refers to that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Mnemo is a decision-intelligence and context-memory service that integrates with AI coding assistants and editors (such as Claude, Cursor, and VS Code) via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The Service stores decision logs, project context, and threads on your behalf and surfaces them to authorised AI tools.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
3. Your Account
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API tokens and credentials.
- You must notify us immediately at security@mnemomcp.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- One person may not maintain multiple free accounts. Automated account creation is prohibited.
4. Your Data
You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service ("Your Data"). By submitting Your Data, you grant Mnemo a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, and transmit Your Data solely to provide the Service.
- Deletion. You may delete your data at any time from Settings → Profile. We will permanently delete your data within 30 days of account closure.
- Encryption. Decision bodies and sensitive fields are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM with per-user keys managed via Google Cloud KMS.
- No training. We do not use Your Data to train AI models or share it with third parties for that purpose.
- Backups. We maintain encrypted backups for disaster recovery. Backup data is subject to the same deletion commitments.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to store or transmit content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data or the Service infrastructure.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the Service.
- Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair its operation.
- Resell or sub-license access to the Service without our written consent.
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service beyond normal API use.
6. Fees & Billing
The Free tier is provided at no charge subject to usage limits described on the Pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law or at our sole discretion.
We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, branding, and documentation, is owned by Mnemo and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any Mnemo IP to you. You may not use our name, logo, or trademarks without prior written consent.
8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MNEMO'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE FEES YOU PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100. IN NO EVENT SHALL MNEMO BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you materially breach these Terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and we will delete Your Data per Section 4.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Account information: name, email address, profile name (via Google OAuth).
- Usage data: API call logs, feature usage counts, error events — used to operate and improve the Service.
- Your Data: decision logs, threads, and context you submit — stored encrypted, never read by Mnemo staff except to resolve a support request you initiate.
- Cookies: a single signed session cookie for authentication. No advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To authenticate you and operate the Service.
- To send transactional emails (token expiry alerts, security notices).
- To generate aggregate, anonymised usage metrics for product development.
Who we share it with
- Google Cloud Platform — hosting, storage, and KMS (our primary infrastructure provider).
- SendGrid — transactional email delivery.
- We do not sell Your Data. We do not share Your Data with advertisers or AI model trainers.
Data retention & deletion
Your Data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual records from the dashboard or request full account deletion from Settings. We complete deletions within 30 days.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email privacy@mnemomcp.com.
Security
We use AES-256-GCM encryption at rest, TLS 1.2+ in transit, TOTP-based MFA for admin accounts, and regular third-party security reviews. See our Security page for details.
